Your goal
Control the boundary of a simple eye look.
Try it step by step
- Choose a lighter eye shade and one deeper shade intended for use around the eyes. Place the lighter wash on the lid.
- Keep the deeper color close to the outer lash line, then soften the edge with a clean blending brush. Add intensity gradually.
- Check with your eyes both open and closed. Finish with mascara according to its directions, using clean tools.
Practise this
Create a softer version of the linked NARS look. Photograph both eyes in the same lighting and compare the height of the blended edge.
Check your result
The strongest color stays near the lashes and fades toward the edge.
A common mistake
Taking a large amount of dark pigment too high before checking the shape. For eye-product hygiene, read the linked clean-tools lesson.
